2009 Greater Cedar Rapids Open

This Year's Low Professional in the Open Division Guaranteed $12,500!
Also new this year - Amateur Division – Invitation Only
Proceeds will benefit Camp Courageous of Iowa and other local charities.
As you will see from our History, we have given directly almost $80,000 to local charities and at the same time impacted the economy in a very significant way.
In addition, the junior caddie program, sponsored by TrueNorth, annually spends $3,000 to pay area youth to be caddies for the competitors in our tournament.
Again we will host some of the newest and brightest players from around the country who will compete with several of our Iowa professionals and invited amateur golfers. It is from training grounds such as this that players garner success and build to new heights, such as winning their card on the Nationwide Tour (Derek Lamely, Gary Christian, Jason Knutzon, Steve Friesen); winning their card on the Champions Tour (Dave Rummells, Steve Thomas); winning their card on the PGA Tour (Scott Gutchewski) and winning on the PGA Tour such as George McNeil did in the 2007 Fry.com Open and Zach Johnson continues to do!
